About Rare Buffs Poultry
Located in East Cork, we are small scale hobbyist breeders of quality poultry. Our focus is on a few rare breeds of chicken, which live in our large back garden in separate breeding pens alongside our layers (pictured above). A pair of small ducks lives in the vegetable patch.
We are committed to producing quality stock, and choose only the best quality birds to breed from. We are members of the Irish Society of Poultry Fanciers, and our flock is registered with the Department of Agriculture and Food.
We have begun hatching a few chicks since March, and have more eggs in the incubators as well. Here's hoping for a fruitful season in 2012.
We are pleased that our pair of Silver Sebrights took first and second place in the true bantam class at the 2011 Cork Summer Show, and later in the year hope to show some nice young birds hatched here this spring.
